Squirrel & Vine Self-catering apartment, Stellenbosch, South Africa
Frequently asked questions
What do others think of Squirrel & Vine? Read guest comments
Can I pay on-line using my credit or debit card? Yes. To make an online reservation, follow this link to the reservations page If you contact us with an enquiry in stead of making an online reservation, you will still be able to pay by credit or debit card Mastercard and Visa are accepted
What are the check-in and check-out times? Check-in not before 14h00 on the day of arrival and check-out by 10h30 on the day of departure. Please ensure that these times suit you before making a reservation - due to high occupancy our times are unfortunately not flexible. Be assured that there are plenty of excellent restaurants, shops, coffee shops and museums in Stellenbosch - within very close proximity of the apartment - where you will enjoy passing time if necessary. If you need to check in before 14h00 or depart after 10h30 Squirrel & Vine is not a viable option. Late arrival, even after hours, is no problem.
Between what hours can the keys be collected? Keys are available 24 hours a day - guests may therefore check in at any time after 14h00 on the day of arrival. Unfortunately arrival before 14h00 is not possible.
Is the apartment suitable for 3 adults? Only if you find the bedding configuration acceptable: one extra-length queen size bed in the bedroom & one single bed size mattress on a custom-made couch in the lounge. The sleeper couch has a flat mattress and is not the fold-out type that can sometimes be uncomfortable
Is it possible to accommodate more than 3 persons? Unfortunately not. Not only does the bedding configuration not allow for it, but municipal and property restrictions also prohibit us from housing more than 3 persons
Is there a minimum number of nights? Usually not. We consider all enquiries, including those for only one night, according to availability. However, in summer we sometimes do not accept advance bookings for only one weekend night, unless the other nights have already been taken as part of a longer booking. Please enquire.
Do you have another unit available? See details of the suburban two-bedroom self-catering cottage
Why is it important to let you know the exact number of guests? Although rates are charged for the apartment as a whole, we need to know the number of guests in order to ensure that we prepare the apartment correctly.
What do I need to bring along? The following is supplied - not necessary to bring along: hangers, towels, hangers, hair dryer, soap, shampoo, body lotion, bath foam, toilet paper, dish washing liquid, dish washing cloths, ice, wine bar, one umbrella, baby cot (please let us know in advance if you will need it), as well as starter quantities of coffee, tea, sugar and sweetener. A 24 hour convenience store is located in Dorp Street a few meters from the apartment. The Stellenbosch Checkers centre (with a large supermarket open during business hours) is also within walking distance of the flat, in Dorp Street.
I am reluctant to book self-catering accommodation online - how do I know this accommodation is real?
